At Winklmayr, we believe the most beautiful things are made by hand — shaped slowly, with intention, and passed from one generation to the next. It's why we're so pleased to be part of Celebrating Mamas, a truly special afternoon at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa this Mother's Day.

We'd love for you to join us. Come for the baking, stay for the stories — and perhaps find something to take home that lasts a little longer than cake.

The afternoon is hosted by Janet Kohler of Thyme2 Travel, who will guide guests through the art of two showstopping desserts: a deeply indulgent chocolate torte and a cloudlike angel food cake. Janet brings warmth, wit, and the kind of technique you can only learn from years of baking with love — and she's sharing all of it with you.

Arrival begins with a glass of perfectly chilled Graham Beck Cap Classique, followed by a beautifully presented afternoon tea. Every detail of this gathering has been considered — because mothers deserve nothing less.

Stories of Our Mothers

Woven through the afternoon are stories of the meals our mothers made — the recipes that defined our childhoods, the dishes that still taste like home. In honouring those traditions, we honour the women who shaped us. We think that's worth celebrating properly.

Winklmayr will be present on the day with a curated selection of pieces — because if there's ever a moment to discover something beautiful to gift, or keep, it's one spent celebrating the women you love most.
