From our hands
to yours
Every Winklmayr piece is designed, cut, stitched, and finished under one roof — by the same people who conceived it. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Just craft.
Where Everything is Made
Our production facility sits directly above the showroom. This is a fully operational leather goods factory — not a finishing room, not an assembly point. Every single item we sell is cut, stitched, edged, and quality-checked right here by our own team of skilled craftspeople. We own the entire process from raw hide to finished product.
The factory is equipped for working with exotic leathers — materials that demand a different level of care and skill than conventional leather. Ostrich quill and leg, crocodile, and other skins each behave differently under the blade and needle, and our craftspeople have spent years learning exactly how to handle them.
Where You Come to Buy
Step into our showroom and you are standing directly beneath the workshop where everything around you was made. There is no warehouse in between, no distribution centre, no third-party logistics. What you see on display came down one floor — and the people who made it are still upstairs.
This proximity matters. It means we can answer questions about how something was made, offer repairs, discuss custom work, and stand behind every product with full knowledge of how it came to be.
Every piece, by hand
Design
Patterns and designs are developed in-house, guided by decades of leathercraft experience and an eye for what endures.
Cutting
Each hide is inspected and cut by hand. Exotic leathers like ostrich and crocodile demand precision — no two skins are the same.
Stitching
Pieces are stitched and assembled in our upstairs workshop, with every seam checked for strength and consistency.
Finishing
Edges are burnished, hardware fitted, and each item inspected before it earns the Winklmayr name and moves to the showroom below.
"When you buy a Winklmayr piece, you're not buying something that was made somewhere else by someone you'll never meet. You're buying something made here — one floor above where you're standing."Winklmayr Leathercraft
