Winklmayr × Makers

Crafted
with intention

Every collaboration we enter is a conversation between makers. We partner with brands who share our belief that objects should be built to last — and built to mean something.

Eco Materials

Urban Sleeves

Made from rPET — a soft, felt-like textile woven entirely from recycled plastic bottles — Urban Sleeves produce accessories built for the long haul. The material holds its form beautifully whether you're on a daily commute, in transit across continents, or settled into a remote-work corner.

Winklmayr uses these sleeves to house and protect our full range of accessories. It's a natural pairing: their commitment to repurposed materials aligns with how we think about longevity in craft.

Heritage Brand

Karoo Classics

Karoo Classics was founded over twenty years ago by the Biggs family in Stellenbosch, a small winelands town in the Western Cape. In 2020, General Manager Wilbar Robberts and business partner Norton Kingwill took the reins — and relaunched the brand on 1 August of that year.

It's a company with deep roots and a clear sense of identity. Winklmayr produces a range of bespoke products made specifically for Karoo Classics — pieces that carry their character and our craft in equal measure.

Fine Art

Nelson Makamo

Makamo doesn't just paint portraits. He paints presence. Working in acrylics, charcoal, monotype, watercolour, oil, screenprint, lithography, collage, and sculpture — his subjects are often children. Their eyes wide, fierce, dreaming. Not subjects, but signals. Reflections of who we've been and who we're becoming.

Together, Nelson Makamo and Winklmayr have created a singular tote that brings his art into the hands of people who carry it every day. His brushwork, our leather. A meeting of two kinds of making.
